Event Monitor Enhancement Now Available
The Event Monitor feature is now available for DrConnect private practice users, enabling the easy tracking of your patients’ recent activity at Cleveland Clinic.
This feature allows users to decide the types of events to display. In addition, all users monitoring a patient will receive an In Basket message when an event they monitor, such as a new lab result, occurs.
Update on Browser Minimum Requirements
DrConnect has upgraded our software and the following internet browsers are no longer supported: iOS 6 & 7, Internet Explorer (IE) 7 & 8.At minimum please use one of the following browsers to access DrConnect:
User Account Audits
As part of our efforts to maintain the highest level of security for our patients, DrConnect conducts an audit of user accounts on a regular basis. The DrConnect team will be sending the list of current users to the Practice Owners and Nursing Home Administrators for review and action as appropriate.
Practice Owners and Nursing Home Administrators are encouraged to regularly notify the DrConnect team when user accounts should be terminated by accessing the User Audit Module located on the Utilities page. View Quick Reference Guide to learn more.

The DrConnect registration process is now electronic!
New and Existing DrConnect Practices/Facilities will be guided through the electronic registration by clicking on the “Not Registered?” box from the DrConnect home page. The paper registration forms are no longer available on the DrConnect web site.
The Account ID is required to complete the Confidentiality Use Agreement and User logon. New Practices/Facilities will be automatically assigned an Account ID once the Administration Security Agreement has been completed. Existing Practices/Facilites currently using DrConnect should contact the DrConnect Help desk for their assigned Account ID.
Who Can Sign-up to Use DrConnect?
A registered physician user must sign-up as the practice manager for a DrConnect account. Once the physician is registered, he/she may identify office personnel to receive proxy security rights that would enable the identified staff to access the patient's electronic medical record within the established DrConnect account.
As a recipient of information through DrConnect, I acknowledge that the information disclosed to it through the DrConnect system will contain any and all information contained in the patient's medical record that is protected by Federal confidentiality rules relating to treatment provided by Alcohol and Drug Abuse Program (42 C.F.R. Part 2) and state law pertaining to the disclosure of HIV/AIDS information. These rules prohibit Recipient from making any further disclosure of this information unless further disclosure is expressly permitted by the written consent of the person to whom it pertains or as otherwise permitted by 42 C.F.R. Part 2 relating to the disclosure of alcohol and drug abuse program information or state law pertaining to disclosure of HIV/AIDS information.
A general authorization for the release of medical or other information is NOT sufficient for these purposes. The Federal rules restrict any use of the information to criminally investigate or prosecute any alcohol or drug abuse patient.
EpicCare® Link and PlanLink™ Epic 2014 Release
The Provider Enrollment, Chain and Ownership System (PECOS) is the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) national database for recording and retaining data on Medicare-enrolled providers. CMS recommends that all providers verify their PECOS enrollment status even if previously enrolled to ensure that patients continue to receive prescribed items without interruption. Non-enrolled Medicare providers must be enrolled in PECOS to avoid denial of patient claims. Apply now to avoid a delay in application processing.
